We were born and raised in New Orleans, a city where food is at the heart of our culture, our traditions, and the way we connect with one another. So it’s no surprise that the kitchen became a familiar place for both of us early on. When we met, our shared love for cooking quickly became something we bonded over. Before long, cooking together turned into a little friendly competition, and that passion and fun led to the creation of MF Cookin.
“When I cook, I can feel my mama’s presence in the kitchen. She’s my why.” – Moses
Craving a Fillet O Fish? You got McDonald’s money? Yes? No? It doesn’t matter; thanks to us, you have McDonald’s at home. While we love a good Fillet O Fish, we’re lovin our at-home version. Scratch that; we’re loving our fish sandwich. The freshness of the Cod, the crispiness of the batter, and the tanginess of the tartar sauce raise this sandwich to the next level. It’s too good to call it a copycat recipe. This is our fish sandwich recipe.
One of our love languages is trying new restaurants and recreating their dishes at home. Once, we went to Grand Isle restaurant in New Orleans, tried their hot crab dip, and instantly fell in love. So you know we had to make it at home. This hot crab dip recipe is rich, creamy, and remarkably delicious. It is perfect for an appetizer, a game day dish, or if you are anything like us, it’s perfect for an at-home date night dinner. It pairs perfectly with a glass of wine, the rhythm of R&B, and all the feels. This dish will have you coming back for more.
Name a better duo than sweet and spicy… there’s one that comes to mind, and that is quick and easy. Our air fryer wings are exactly that. Using the air fryer is less messy and takes half the time, all while producing the same deep-fried results. These wings are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The crispiness of the wings, paired with the sweetness and spiciness of the sauce, make the perfect marriage. The bold flavors will excite your taste buds and leave your mouth watering. Not only are these wings great for a quick bite, but they are also perfect for a gameday appetizer. Oh, and don’t forget the napkins and wet wipes because things can get sticky.
“IT’S CORN, WE CAN TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT!!” It’s juicy, it’s sweet, it can be savory. There are many ways in which you can cook it. Corn can be roasted, grilled, sauteed, and so much more. Corn is versatile and is often incorporated in many dishes. Our favorite dish as of late is boiled corn smothered in a delicious creamy Cajun alfredo sauce. The sweetness and crunchiness of the corn paired with the creamy, savory, buttery alfredo sauce brings pure joy to the tastebuds.

It’s soup season y’all! You know, it wouldn’t be us if we didn’t add a little Louisiana flare to the season. Typically, soup season in Louisiana is Gumbo season, but we have something that is just as good. Jambalaya!… Soupified. As you all know, Jambalaya is an explosion of flavors. It’s packed with proteins, such as andouille sausage, chicken, and shrimp. It contains “The Holy Trinity,” a combination of celery, onions, and bell peppers. It’s seasoned boldly with a variety of spices and seasonings. Now combine all those delectable ingredients with a hearty tomato sauce and savory broth, and you get the best MF’ing soup you’ll ever taste.
